increase speed value smoothly at live show

Hey, I would like to increase and reduce the speed of effects smoothly using a midi fader. Everytime I change the value lets say from 4 to 5, the effect starts from a beginning point. This interrupts the movement, making it look jerky which is hardly unsatisfying. Is there a way to work around that and increase the value smoothly?

  Hi Simon,

  Which effect are you targeting specifically please? Rotation maybe? The smoothness of Speed changes depends on the effect, we know some of them are not smooth, sorry about this. We are trying to improve this little by little, for instance smooth tempo variations are currently in discussion.

  Hi Léa, 

  Thanks for your help! I have used the linear gradient (color), which I would like to rotate and speed up and down smoothly with a fader but it keeps on jumping with every change of value. Is there any way to work around that problem in order to make it look nicer?

  Hi Simon,

  The only way to rotate it smoothly with a fader would be to put the effect on Motion: "None" and assign the fader to the Direction value of the gradient. However you lose the automatic rotation in this case.
