    Hi Jacob,

Glad to hear you like you like it! And that's definitely not a stupid question :)

You could use the OBS Virtualcam plugin (free). That way OBS would be recognized as a live cam in HeavyM. That's a solution that works for us.

UPDATE 2023: it seems the plugin is not supported anymore in recent OBS versions. Please downgrade to OBS 27 if possible or use NDI/Spout for now.

    Hope that suits your needs!

    Hi,

If this one doesn't work for you, you can try other Windows plugins that allow you to send the OBS broadcast to HeavyM via:

    • NDI. That way, you can send HeavyM into OBS, or the opposite. (Be careful, to send the OBS output via NDI, after installing the plugin you have to activate it in Tools -> NDI Output Settings.)
    • Spout. Same as for NDI, the settings are in the Tools menu after installing.

Hope that helps, have a nice day.

    Hi,

I got the same issue. Heavy m is only showing a black Screen when selecting obs virtual cam.
NDI Stream works fine but has top much latency.
Could there be any Problem with the format of obs virtual cam?
Or is it maybe Just a Feature that Not works in the Demo Version?

    Thanks for your Help.

    Hi,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Franz Kirsten, unfortunately if it doesn't work in the Demo it won't work in Live/Pro, it's the same code there.

After running some tests it seems that indeed the plugin we used to recommend is not supported anymore in recent OBS updates, sorry about that. Would you be able to downgrade to OBS 27 where it works for now? The tech team will work on a solution for OBS 28/29.

Have a nice day, thanks for your interest.

    Hi again,

The tech team believes the aforementioned Spout plugin on Windows doesn't have latency and offers the same quality, is it not working for you Franz Kirsten? After installing the plugin you need to enable it in the Tools menu.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Spout is working fine without big latency issues.
