Mirror
Hey there, I've got several issues.
I want to make complex shapes like animal/human/fantasy-faces, mandala, etc., which have to be highly symmetrical. I know I can mirror faces, but the mirrored face appears rather randomly somewhere near the original. Is it possible, to self set the axis on which a face / group should be mirrored from?
And further on, can I somehow create a dividing grid (with the number of symmetry points to choose from) somehow and place it somewhere on the canvas? To draw on one point and have it mirrored identical 2-x times?
I use it a lot in Photoshop/Illustrator and other programs, would be VERY helpful to have this in HeavyM v2 as well.
Furhter on, when I mirror my groups or faces, the effects mostly (or never?) are not mirrored as well. If I have a color gradient for example, it always goes from left (l) to right (r), instead as from l->r in the left face and from r->l in the right face. I know that I can change it manually as well, but in bigger projects it's very very time consuming. Plus, I would have to put it inside a new group, since effects always effect the whole group.
Also it would be awesome, if these mirrored objects would still be connected to each other. If i make a change in one of the mirrored objects, it should adopt to the ones I connected it with as well (it should also be possible to choose which adotions were made, so mandalas e.g. could have 3 different parts to change simultanously). At the moment I have to delete one side, mirror again and reorganize it to its desired location and work further on.
Effects from mirrored objects should be able to be switched between synchronous or asynchronous behaviour. Right now, I guess there is no influence in pattern. (I have two Irises of eyes and haven't managed to make them move synchronous. Or, to be more precise, they somewhen went asynchronous and haven't managed to have them synchronous again)
Mirrored Objects which are combined with the magnet tool still have the connection line in the middle of those two. For outline effects, this often looks kinda weird. Is it possible, to exclude paths from effects?
Is this possible in future or maybe even possible now and I'm overseeing some functions?
Thanks a bunch already, despite my issues I really love the software!

Hello Wel.T.Raum,
Thank you very much for these detailed explanations and your support! 🙏
I totally understand your needs concerning the possibility to choose the axis where the mirror shape is placed to get a perfectly symmetrical design, as well as those concerning the mirror effects and the grid.
I’ve just added your suggestion to discuss it further with the team.By the way, I'd like to encourage other users who pass by to vote for these features on this post! It helps us a lot to prioritize the requests.
However, I'm sorry but I didn't understand your last paragraph about connected objects, as well as the behavior of synchronous or asynchronous effects and the connection line between snapped objects.
Could you send me a screenshot or a video capture of your project so that I can get a better idea of your needs? Thanks a lot!
Claire
