Having trouble Importing ISF Shaders
-
Hi,
If these are the 'old' zips of shader content from the HeavyM site they may not work. I believe the old ones had a different file extension. I received the following from support regarding this in V2x
Hello Clive,
You're totally right, the supported shader format is no longer .frag but .sf in HeavyM 2. We are currently working on an article that will help you with this.
In the meantime, here are several solutions:
- you can automatically convert your Shadertoy shaders to ISF format using this tool (in Beta)
- if you are a Mac user, you can use the ISF Editor software and its "Import from GLSL Sandbox" and "Import from Shadertoy" features. A Beta version for Windows is also available
- You can also convert your shaders manually with this detailed tutorial

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
Here's a link to the repository I used. https://github.com/sophiadigitalart/ShadersLibrary
As far as I can see, all the files are .sf
I managed to figure out the thumbnail problem by setting them all manually. However, the only parameter available for me to control is iZoom. I checked the JSON and there seems to be input options within the coding such as "iMouse", "iSteps", etc. I have very little experience with coding so I have included a snippet of the inputs section of the JSON for the shader I had open in Heavy M incase anyone can see the flaw and possibly help me fix it.0 -
Hi,
I am also not a coder, but for HeavyM V1 there was a detailed help document for the specifics of Shader coding compatibility in HeavyM. For V2 there seems to be scant information as yet.
I am sure someone from HeavyM tech will respond here soon, if not I would log a request via support for assistance. Good luck.
