Beginner problem - software crashing

Following initial instructions to set up;  Software freezes/crashes if i extend screens, then try to go full screen on screen 2. 

Doesn't crash if i've set to duplicated screen (don't know if this is useful info)

 

Have checked with support and laptop exceeds minimum requirements nad graphics card drivers are up to date 

Anyone had similar problems, and fixed them ?
