Let's talk about the marketing emails
First, I've been following the project since the beginning. It's great, the software is good, I'm a happy customer.
My only problem is the amount of emails I get from HeavyM. I really hope this is taken as constructive criticism as it's intended.
My wife runs a successful ecommerce businesses (in fashion). The rule of thumb is 1 email every 2 weeks MAXIMUM. Otherwise people on your mailing list either ignore everything you send, or worse, mark it as spam and then you will never reach that person again.
The gmail spam algorithm dings the sender after a only a few people marking emails from that sender as spam. Then they mark it as spam for everybody. And you cannot undo that.
I'm a busy guy. I'm the technical director of a well known venue. I get a lot of emails about products, services, etc that I'm interested in and signed up to be on the mailing list for because I like the product and want to stay informed.
By orders of magnitude, I get more emails from HeavyM than anyone else. Frankly, it's way too much. Please, please PLEASE. I don't want to unsubscribe. I want to know the developments and cool projects. But unless you are mapping the surface of the moon for Space X, what's going on can wait to be combined into one informative email every couple of weeks, instead of sending me an email every time somebody maps a staircase in a metro station.
I don't mean to be rude. I'm interested, I really am. But the frequency of emails is just too much and lately I just delete and don't even open, even though I'm eagerly awaiting 4k support and multiple outputs announcement :)
So guys, keep doing everything you're doing, but aggregate the emails and send them less often, with more content.
Surely I'm not the only one who thinks this?
