Can effects like strobe and static be cropped to only effect the mapping and not the whole output screen ?

As title states, I am unable to work out if strobe can be cropped to only effect the mapped shapes not the whole output screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  Hi Ben,

  I think the option you're looking for is located in Edit → Preferences... → Output → Overflow. Simply tick "Clip the overflow of Output effects". This will clip the overflow of postprocessing effects (like the strobe shader) with the overall outline of your drawing.

  FYI, in the same menu you can do the same for Group effects (e.g. if your effects overflow because you've activated a rotation or moved their point of origin.). Both these options apply to the software globally, not just a sequence or project.
