Sequences running longer than specified time
We have 8 sequences in our Halloween show. The show is 9min and 33 seconds. The first sequence is set to run for 59 seconds but actually runs for 1 minute 21 seconds. The sequence progress bar is all the way to the right indicating completion, but the sequence is still running and doesn't go to sequence two until 20+ seconds after that should have happened.
We looked at the transitions (have them set to 0.0 sec) but can't figure out what's going on. This is happening on all of the sequences (ie the sequence durations do not match that actual playing time).
Thanks for any help/feedback.

Hi NotMrMolnar,
Sorry for the inconvenience. Unfortunately this is a known issue and there is no workaround for this in current versions.
However, the problem has been solved for the new 2.9 release that will be out in a few days. The precision of the sequencer has been fixed and improved: you'll be able to set durations down to the milliseconds and 1/8th of a beat.
Have a nice day!

That is great news. It looks like the issue doesn't effect the rendering (ie export to video) so at least we are able to export to video and check the accuracy. We ultimately export the sequences and play the video (vs. doing realtime warping) as we have lights/dmx coordinated with our show.
And the ability to specify timing down to a millisecond is VERY welcomed news. In the previous HeavyM software, we had to go into the XML and make the timing changes there; it was not a fun process.

Ahah, glad to hear it'll make your life easier.
And yes you're correct, the current precision issues on the sequencer do not affect video exports.
Have a nice day and stay tuned!
