Exported video not matching timing of source material
Hello,
I think this is related to our earlier issue with the sequences not quite playing at the correct timing when being played in real-time. We have a 9 min 33 sec show that we export to video, as we have sound and lights that are sync'd to it. Unfortunately, when we export the video, the timing seems to be off. For example, in the source video, an action that happens at 8min 42sec happens at 8min 47 sec in the HeavyM exported video.
We brought the exported video and source video into our video editing and it seems like the timing issues start (and possibly accumulate) each time a new sequence is triggered. During sequence 1, we don't notice any timing issues (or very minimal). That is the first 58 seconds. In sequence 2, we start to notice some timing issues. By the time we get to sequence 9 or 10, we are very misaligned. When playing in real-time, the timings seem good through sequence 8 or 9; after that, there is some weird things that happen with the audio though the video seems like it is ok.
We went back to the old HeavyM software and rendered our Halloween show there with no issues. Unfortunately, now we are getting ready for Christmas and would really like to use the newer software since the exporting is so much faster.
Any help you can provide is appreciated!

Hi Andrea D'Amario,
Please submit a request with details about your configuration and project file (with the media files) so that the technical team can check the issue in your case.
The precision of the sequencer was greatly improved in 2.9, if you're having trouble with sequence duration it can be that you're using a previous version.
Otherwise there can be precision issues with video files that lag and cause a delay in the rendering. You can try to identify the the video in question and try different formats/codecs. We recommend .mov/H264 or HAP Alpha or ProRes 4444 if you need transparency, and another important tip would be reducing their resolution, bitrate and increase their compression to an acceptable quality/performance compromise to reduce playback issues.
Have a nice day.
